That picture is tiny! What movies not already on Blu are on this? I think the DVD had DARR, which is awesome, I would love that to come to Blu!

There is a separate Thread that lists Canadian retailers if you want to check it out. Otherwise, just shop online? This won't be hitting Wal-Mart since they cater only to EROS releases.

The Best of SRK and best 40 Both YRF songs blu rays are available in india as well. Now I have a question,

The reason I understood that YRF did not release the Karan Johar-SRK blu rays movies in India was the rights thing which was with sony for Dharma Production titles. Now how do they get the songs of KJO movies on YRF blu ray without facing this issue? If this is so simple, why not release the movies themeslelves as well in India?. Any light on this by anyone?

Or else, ayone please confirm if the KJo songs are deleted from the Indian version of the songs blu rays ...something i really doubt.

The fourth screenshot above shows the Pretty Woman song from Kal Ho Na ho. So I presume the Kjo songs would be present inthe blu ray

Very good question and equally too good observation ! Let me try to shed some light on this. It's often a practice in the Indian Home Video Industry that the video rights of any particular movie is with some company. Now when another company who just wants to sell the songs of that particular movie on Video, they normally get a consent from that co who owns the movie rights. So here, there are very clear chances of Yash Raj having bought the consent from Sony Pictures for the songs to be released on their (YRF) BD, with of course XYZ amount of compensation to Sony ! And also there is a definite time limit for which the songs are permitted to be sold for. I guess this clears your querry !

Thanks Blu ray seller. Yes that seems to be the case here. Although I wonder why they (yrf) never did this with their DVD versions. Probably because the dvds by sony were already out when they stated extending dvd business in India. And with Blu Ray , since there seems to be no sign of Sony BDs fo KJO titles on the horizon, it makes sense for them(yrf) to buy and for sony to encash the compensation for rights for the time being.

I feel very Sad because i so wish they had bought rights for the movies themselves as well. Man it kills me to pay the premium required for importing titles from abroad... It almost multiplies the final price three times of INR versions.
