Truly a Parental Guidance -rated film...

May add it depending on the quality of the extras. If there's a type of DVD/BD extras that have been done to death, it's documentaries and Schickel commentaries on Eastwood films.

Awesome news!

Thank God that Warner releases the DigiBook titles in Amaray cases in the UK and they are region free. Love this movie, bu don't need to pay extra for packaging. I will be importing it from the UK for sure!

I really like the Digibooks--


I realize that they don't fit well with my other blu-rays but I have a different shelving system in my office for them--

these releases are more "special" and I think they're kind of cool--

dvd's had the same thing at times with bulkier packaging/cases so I've never really understood the hatred...

I regret I haven't even seen this, but I already have Unforgiven and Pale Rider on blu-ray, and it seems to me this is a missing chunk in my collection and I have faith in Eastwood, so I'm gonna blind-buy this day 1. I hope Unforgiven gets a digibook like Goodfellas so Josey Wales won't be the only digibook. I would double-dip for that.

From the moment I got a BD player, I had two questions: "When will The Outlaw Josey Wales" be out?" and "When will Barry Lyndon be out?"

This is my favorite Eastwood film and on my short list of greatest movies ever. This is the kind of personal favorite of mine where the DigiBook format is wonderful, giving the sense of classic book put on a shelf to be taken down again and again as the mood strikes. I hope the transfer does justice to cinematographer Bruce Surtees's warm and glowing photography.

There's no hatred. Those who want digibooks should have their digibooks. But those who simply want the movie in a standard Blu case should have that as well. There's never a disadvantage to the consumer having options.
