GREAT NEWS!!!
I have held off buying the US edition since release (really lucky as I was going to order it last week)! Looks like it's going to be identical to the Full Disclosure Edition, including the booklet, but looks as if we are getting more! Description says: 5 Exclusive Postcards with behind-the-scenes pictures and 1979 Original Theatrical Program - provided to viewers during the first screenings of the film in 1979. Hopefully it comes in great packaging like the US release! That is also a great price! Much better than the cost of the US release! And the release is a little after my birthday! Very happy! ![]() |

Happy with my Full Disclosure version, but i'm also happy that everyone gets to experience it on Blu Ray now. Still kind of vary of it being Optimum and all... It's a 'hit or miss' company to me

Just another week more and I'll finally get to watch this masterpiece in HD. Saw it on Saturday at the Cineworld in Haymarket. Great film, crap screening room. I hate Cineworld

You're lucky to have a cinema near you that will show it! Doubt my nearest Cineworld will.

I preordered mine on Play.com. Hope I get mine on Saturday, can't wait to finally see Hearts of Darkness. It was only released in the U.K. on VHS and I didn't bother getting it cause it was released on a double pack with Apocalypse. Who would've guessed most of us will be double dipping our DVD's and Blu's when VHS was around?

I hate myself. I usually don't pre-order Blu-rays but last year I did it for The Thin Red Line (Criterion) and Apocalypse Now (Lionsgate/Maple). Now they both have been released in Europe and at less than half the price.
I can justify the purchase of The Thin Red Line as the Criterion release is actually better in almost every way than the Fox one but I cannot say the same for Apocalypse Now. The UK release is Blu-ray sized, much thicker cardboard, better artwork, includes theatrical program and postcards. North American release is still great but I'll double dip in the near future. |
