I was looking at the pre order options for Tron: Legacy, and noticed three options available. Double Play, with the Blu-ray and DVD, 3D Super Play which includes the Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray and Digital Copy, or the Tron / Tron Legacy double pack, which I believe is one disc for each film. And it got me to thinking, in a similar vein that people who are new to Blu-ray, or maybe willing to convert in the foreseeable future use the Double / Triple play packs, would you use the 3D super play in case you ever convert. I don't know if I would buy one, as I doubt I'll invest in 3D until it doesn't require glasses, but I would find the digital copy handier than the DVD. What do you think?

I posted in the Tron thread that it's a shame you can only have he DVD or DC depending on 2D or 3D. I doubt I'll go 3D anytime soon but it would be nice if they offered an upgrade program, as the extra few pounds for the 3D set is really a waste at the moment but I do buy BD's with DC and I don't have a portable device yet.

I've got the 3-D BD for "A Christmas Carol" 2009 and will get it for "Tron Legacy," just in case 3-D does become the wave of the future. I'm not holding my breath about it though; as long as these movies come with every other format I'm set.
I'm currently not interested at all in doubling up on movies I already own for 3-D compatability. |

I mostly get the 3D super plays, I'm hoping the US of Tron is region free as I'm interested in the Limited Edition.
![]() If I had not converted to 3D I suppose I would not bother with Super Play ![]() |
