![]() Boomtown was a cop drama, that debuted on NBC back in the fall of 2002. It was created by Graham Yost, who's currently the showrunner for the FX series Justified. What made it stand out was the "Rashomon" style of examining a case each week. Showing the POV of the cops, victims, lawyers, paramedics, witnesses, etc. Despite being critically acclaimed, it never caught on with mainstream viewers. So Jeff SUCKer, who was running NBC at the time had them abandon the unique storytelling format, which made it just another by the numbers cop show the 2nd season. There was no 3rd season. ![]() |
