Default Onkyo 5300: speaker calibration

Hi everyone,
My 5300 is nearly coming and according to my research over the net this system needs to be calibrated well to enjoy its performance.
My queston is can someone like me(not an audiophile expert) do this thing?
If this can be done by anyone, i would highly appreciated any help regarding this matter.

If I am correct the Onkyo s5300 comes with a Audyssey calibration mic that will do it for you. Just check out Onkyo's website it will tell you if it is included or not.

Brap is correct, set your speakers up, plug it in the front of the receiver and put the mic in your seating positions it even shows you on your tv which speaker is being calibrated

i have the Onkyo 5200 wich was replaced by the 5300. i live in a 2 bedroom condo and have it in my living room and it does the trick for me with movies, music, and gaming. i do not have any complaints with it except its does not have the trueHD or dtsHD. thats why im going to start upgrading to bigger and better thing soon.

Thanks sir for your inputs, how about the quality of sounds when it comes to music? Does the 5300 did a good job in playing music even not calibrated?
