Blockbuster delays in store

Hey guys ... I have a question that someone here might have an answer to. I went to Blockbuster tonight to trade in a mailer to rent the Blu-ray of Gnomeo and Juliet. They don't have it, yet. They don't have I am Number Four, either. I noticed that The Rite came in a few days late, too.

Does anybody have any solid info on the delays? Solid info is NOT that you hate them or that they are going out of business. Not all stores are going out of business and this is not one of the stores that is closing. They are getting stock from closing stores.

I have a friend that works for blockbuster and they have been getting there shipments late for a little while now they have no real answer besides that it has been happening for some time now. I think its cause they are ordering less copies of movies and its taking longer to send them to there stores

The same thing has been happing to me at my blockbuster.So i feel your pain.

Thanks for the replies. I am just curious. I would rather wait a week or less (which seems to be the delay) rather than 28 days.

Both Gnomeo and Juliet or I Am Number Four are available on Redbox and Netflix on release date because Disney and Dreamworks don't delay their releases.

The real answer as to why they are getting releases later than advertised is because the deal with dish network is still being finalized. Dish bought them out when blockbuster declared bankruptcy so they should be getting back on track with the releases anytime once the ink dries so to speak.
