Default Apple MacBooks top all Consumer Reports Laptop Categories

Translation: Your PC sucks...

Quote:
If you were wondering how good Apple’s MacBook line of portable computers are, the answer is simple — they are the top computer in every category on Consumer Reports.

Apple’s 11-inch MacBook Air scored a 62 out of 100 taking the top spot in the small laptop section. Scoring a 56, Gateway came in second while HP came in third with a 49.

The 13-inch model category was even worse for Apple’s competition. Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Pro took the top five of seven spots with Sony and Asus taking the final two.

The 15-inch category was much closer with Apple MacBook Pro taking the top three spots, but the competition did come in at just three points behind.

The 17-inch category was another big win for Apple. The MacBook Pro took the top two spots with the competition sharing the other six.

I agree with the MBP being one of the best laptops out there

I don't like the normal Macbooks or the Air series though.

I've never used or played around with the regular McBook, but the Air seems alright for what it is. Unless size was a huge issue, I would spend the same or a little more for the MacBook Pro.

The wife and I are fed up with our PC. We both decided that when it's time to upgrade we are definately going with a MAC. As a family, we have an iPhone, 2 iPads, and 5 iPods. It only makes sense for us to switch to a MAC. I've checked them out a few times at the Apple store. I can't believe that they actually have a class for $100 to show people how to use a MAC. I know I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, but I'm smart enough to not drop $100 for something I can figure out on my own. Worse case, I can always ask my father-in-law or brother-in-law for help. Both of them are MAC owners who swear by them.

Or you can ask your question in the Mac thread at blu-ray.com.

Less than your Mac, but thanks for your concern

Specially when the story you got from your average Mac-Fan website is actually FALSE.

The newest top 13incher is .. a PC. From SAMSUNG.

In our latest batch of laptop Ratings (available to subscribers), Samsung’s new Series 9 thin-and-light laptop (shown at top right) edges out the Apple MacBook Air and rises to the top among 13-inch models.
Go to http://news.consumerreports.org/elec...-netbooks.html , you'll see.

This being said, consumerreports.org has long been biased in favor of Apple it seems, toping the charts for the past 2 years -ever- when comparing vastly superior machines on the PC side -and less expensive too than the Mac counterpart-.

/sigh, Apple Drones.
