Default PS3 and Subtitles Options

Hi, I was wondering if there's a way to change the subtitles size, position, brightness etc while playing blu-rays/DVDs on PS3.

I looked around but couldn't find it anywhere. sometimes I like to put on the subs but small text and low brightness in case I miss a dialogue but they don't distract from the movie as well.

I hope there's a way to do it on PS3 otherwise I'll be tempted to buy a standalone blu-ray player.

Is this the same way with all the blu-ray players or stand-alones give more options?

Some studios use yellow and green subtitles. Plus maybe other colors as well that are brighter than white. Plus have seen studios use different sizes for the subs where some are pretty small, and sometimes they can be a little large.

But I don't think there's a way to change what's already been made.

During movie playback, hitting will bring up a special menu, one of which options is subtitle style.

Unfortunately I've never seen a movie that takes advantage.

HTPC and special blu ray players (OPPO) allow you to manipulate the subtitles. i find it especially nice with watching cinemascope films on my scope screen.

Immortal Beloved (US) offers a subtitle position option that was never implemented later on (for some stupid reason to pick this movie as the poster boy first is beyond me), also the French release of La Vie En Rose has this feature too.

The subtitles in these movies are player produced, meaning the PS3 is technically able to adjust the subtitles in any position. Sony should be acknowledged that people are going the CIH route in a larger way (wait till the 21:9, they'll be in hell).
