United Kingdom American: The Bill Hicks Story

Big fan of Bill Hicks but found this 'documentary' virtually unwatchable as it was 90% a CGI cartoon with people talking about him ie a commentary of the cartoon. Incredibly painful to sit through this and it was made all the worse as the last section had talking heads and then we get to see people's facial reactions -d'oh you know like, people documenting the person we're interested in. I'm not a fan of commentaries anyway so this is partly why I hated this 'experiment' so much.

Real shame they destroyed what should have been a simple project. Still, at least it keeps the man's name going.

Looks to be a dupe ofthe US disc http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/49020...l-hicks-story/

Distributor: http://www.2entertainvideo.co.uk/2ev...t.php?dbID=445 (yes, another crap distributor page with no or inorrect info).

Not a recommended buy really unless you are blind or partially sighted.

Oh, meant to say I've not seen the Extended Interviews Part 2 (2:01:19) as I don't have the Blu-ray, but if it's just interviews I may go for the Blu-ray and pretend that's the real documentary.
