Hellbound: Hellraiser II Blu-ray

Hellbound: Hellraiser II Blu-ray Review

As someone pointed out in the Hills have Eyes thread Image Entertainment will release Hellbound : Hellraiser 2 on the same day. It seems that Anchor Bay made some kind of a distribution deal with Image, as long as it means that we will get their catalog horror titles faster I'm happy.

One of the scariest movies of all time IMO. This Halloween is gonna be sooooo awesome! So many great horrors coming out!

@Ite

You're right, so many awesome announcements already and the majors like Warner, Universal etc. even haven't announced their horror titles yet (except for the two Nightmare sequels), so there's more to come

If AB won't release their horror catalog, I'm glad Image will. Hopefully that means we'll be seeing Halloween 4-5, Re-Animator, etc.

Shame as these will no doubt be region locked.

What does this mean for the UK. Image don't release stuff in the UK so what will happen to Anchor Bay's UK catalogue.

I'd love to have The Hills Have Eyes and Hellraiser 2

And even though it belongs on the H4/5 thread, I'm this week watching the three cheesy HR6-8 Dimension sequels that were dumped onto Instant Netflix with a load of other Miramax castoffs--

And while struggling through HR6: Hellseeker (continuing HR5's "101 Ways to Remake Jacob's Ladder" ), I can only say...Hellraiser, like HR2, belonged to Clive Barker's gay/ex-Catholic weirdo-goth vision.
No cheap sane writer should ever touch it.

About. F#@king. Time.

Now to decide whether to sell my Doug Bradley autographed Hellraiser/Hellbound: Hellraiser II AB Collectors Tin DVD set (I got a couple things signed by him, so its not as if I need all of them).

I hope Arrow can improve over the crappy Image BD IF Arrow can do Hellraiser 1 & 2 on all region special edition BDs there, it's my wish.

I saw both movies in theaters as a kid 2 times and me and my big brother dug them as we had comics and he had a standee plus i had cards.

I'm sticking to my 2009 special edition DVD.

I assume you're referring to the line in the review that mentions "...lacking an extensive remastering for its second release on blu-ray...". The reviewer either mistakenly thought II was previously released on blu in north america from Anchor Bay like the original (which it wasn't), or is referring to the German release, which came out in July and comes from the same incredibly mediocre master. This is the first north american release.
