Default Rizzoli and Isles the second season

It’s that time again! Rizolli & Isles is back for a second season and is currently airing on TNT on Mondays at 10/9c. This is a great spot on Blu Ray to discuss episodes as they air. Last season was amazing with a great finale and really good characters, and this season so far, seems to full of that same level of excellence.

For those that don’t know about the series and missed season 1, the characters are based on the Rizolli & Isles book series by author Tess Gerritsen whom you might also know from The Surgeon, The Apprentice, and Vanish. I got to know this series last season when the social media marketing company I work for did some of campaigning for TNT.

So far this season, my favorite ep was the 6th: Don't Hate the Player. The episode told a humanizing story of a Minor League coach who paid for his efforts to do the right thing with his life. Start to finish this one was excellent, illustrating a character who, at the very beginning is just to the characters, and the viewer, a soaked corpse in a shower and changing that character into a individual that both parties mourn, is a masterstroke in the hands of the writers.

Anyway let's use this a spot as a place to discuss the eps as they air, keeping spoilers to a minimum please.

Just got cable back after a few years of not having it. I'm really enjoying this show. I'm able to catch up a little bit through On Demand.

On Demand is a great way to catch up, I use it all the time.

Anyone check out the final ep of the season of Rizzoli this week, the one that aired on the 12th? Great stuff, and it was a cool nod to Tess Gerristen that Hoyt was a fan of her mysteries. Wow, can't believe this thread hasn't been tapped since 2011.

Anyways, I'm sad to post that the upcoming Season 7 will be the last for the show.
