Surprise Digital Copies

Hi,

I picked up Bridesmaids (heard it was funny) and inside there was an offer for a digital copy. I didn't see any mention of a digital copy on the outside of the package. ??

Anyways,... What's with the surprise Digital Copy?? Makes me wonder if other titles have DC's without letting anyone know about it.

All of the first shipments of Bridesmaids included a DC. This was listed on the slipcover, but not the case. The reason studios do this is when they run a 2nd pressing, or distribution cycle, they will avoid printing the slips, and not include a DC. This has been pretty common practice with many new releases for quite some time.

Well,

I always throw the slip covers in a box in the closet but I should pay attention to them at least for the possibility a DC is noted on there.

I used to watch all my Blus the day I got them but ... over time, I've got a lot of un-opened titles and wonder if there are DC's in some of them that I don't even know about.

It shouldn't matter to me. I never watch the DC's but I do download and then back them up .... they are sort of just trouble to me actually. But, since I feel like I bought them I go ahead a take them.

Was your copy missing the slip cover?

Every copy that I've seen mentions it on the slip cover, but it's pretty common for the actual Blu-Ray case to only say Blu-Ray + DVD or something like that. I've seen a few releases like this.
