Default Le streghe (The Witches)

I finally had a chance to see the entire film. Good news: The transfer is anamorphic and the original Italian audio is included (with optional English subtitles). If you are an English-speaker, this is probably your best chance to own this film as for years it was available only as a bootleg.

Le streghe (The Witches) is essentially five short stories by Pier Paolo Pasolini, Mauro Bolognini, Vittorio De Sica, Franco Rossi and Luchino Visconti.

Clint Eastwood is in the strange Una Sera Come Le Altre

Of course, the best treat is seeing the beautiful Silvana Mangano (Riso Amaro DVD ). Arguably Italy's greatest comedian Toto is also here, seducing Laura Betti (The Canterbury Tales Blu-ray) .

The film also has a beautiful soundtrack, courtesy of the two greatest Italian film composers, Ennio Morricone and Piero Piccioni (Camille 2000 Blu-ray).

Here's a nice Silvana tribute:

I've only ever seen this on TV about 15 years ago.
Was mainly interested in this because I'm a Clint Eastwood fan and I appreciate the composers of the music, but I would rather wait for a blu-ray version instead of the MOD DVD.
Could make a good ARROW release one day perhaps (wishful thinking).
