These arent exactly the greatest ads around, but none-the-less, not helpful.

What happened to the "buy an HD-DVD disc, and we'll throw in a free HD-DVD player" promotion?

TBH, i was quite turned off by the ad. Seeing that says to me that the player is selling like crap and they can get rid of it. I dont know whos in charge of the promotions like that, Im assuming BB, but besides desparation, it makes Tosh look bad. Bad player that doesnt sell = free give away to get rid of them.

Actually it's only free with select Toshiba flat panel TV. You don't get it free with a Panasonic TV.

A good promotion is one thing but giving them away free? Yea it does seem like a desperation move by the HD DVD camp
