Australia West side story

Ok, I've waited a long time for this to be released on Blu and finally it arrived the other day. The picture quality is great but the sound is a real disappointment.

No use was hardly made at all of surrounds and rear spkrs. All sound was focused on the front and centres, stereo sounding at best, even in scenes where you would expect ambient sounds. I had to keep checking my setup and audio to make sure the surrounds were actually working.

After the brilliant job they did on the Sound of Music audio, surely a release of this significance deserves better?

Is this just me or has anyone else been disappointed?

I saw the disc in JB Hi-Fi on Friday, but hung off buying it. I was surprised we had it ahead of the US and UK (it's not on the JB website yet, so did these fall off the back of a container ship or something?), but for the same money next week I can get the US release, which is probably going to be a digibook.

So ... have they done a multi-channel remix of the sound? Hmmm ... those seem to be disappointing, more often than not. Is the original audio track on there as well?
