This is for the North American release which has been added to the site. My Super 8 Walmart Exlusive Thread is missing with a link to nowhere, due to my inablility to post threads during the correct times. This isn't the first time that this has happened. If they want to move the thread, that is alright with me.

Super 8 Walmart Exclusive thread link is posted here.

There could be different dates reported from different sources, like the Super 8 thread with the title changed. I think no date is better than the wrong one.

That 3D US art sure looks a lot like the German art.

I wasn't impressed by this film. Within the first ten minutes the dog had demonstrated 3 times that he was sharper and smart than Tintin the reporter. I'm not joking. He spotted a pickpocket, a secret vial with a hidden message, and the way into a deserted mansion. Tintin ignored all his barking for the most part.

Then a lot of the series of events were very over the top and comical.

Now I'd read some of the books, and the movie is well directed by Spielberg. A particular scene where a story of an attack by pirates fades in and out to similar looking situations in the main film's timeline was beautiful.

Still, I think this is much better as a kid and family movie. I'd rather watch Pixar, and I think Snowy the dog is more worthy of a film than Tintin

This movie was fun. Some silly parts but I liked it. Will probably pick up.

I'm debating on getting the 3D release if the time ever comes where I want to use it; probably one of the 3D features I was most impressed by. It also doesn't hurt that it's the best cover.

I'm considering a preorder on this since the 2D is actually staring out at $22. Hopefully there will be a coupon from Amazon or a price reduction near release.

I'm assuming that save $3 sticker is if you buy something else. Anyone know what they are?

If you live in Canada, you can save 5 dollars off the 24.99 price on Amazon with the code "TINSAVE5" without quotes at checkout.

Thanks for the tip! I've switched my pre-order of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Tintin to the Canadian site, as I'll save about 2-3 bucks with the coupon code. Yes, the tax and price of the BDs are higher, yet the shipping drives up the cost on Amazon.

Nice! Thanks! Finally some reasonably priced new releases in Canada these days. $19.99 for TinTin and $22.99 for TGWTDT.
