Linux for ps3 - Blu-ray Forum

I've read numerous articles that the ps3 will come with Linux preinstalled on the hard drive, but the interface for the main menu will be like the psp. Correct?

Linux has a lot of different GUI versions...
Sony will probably finetune a kernel for the PS3 for Cell.

This may sound like a silly question, but if you have a ps3, there's no way that you could put the hard drive in a computer right? Or could you do that. The hard drive will be removable. I wonder if it's possible that you could take a ps2 or ps1 memory card and copy the contents to the hard drive and then when you play a ps1 or ps2 game, the console would load up your file from the hard drive instead of from the memory card?
