'A Dangerous Method' stars: Michael Fassbender, Viggo Mortensen, Keira Knightley, Vincent Cassel, and Sarah Gadon. The film is directed by David Cronenberg.

Seduced by the challenge of an impossible case, the driven Dr. Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender) takes the unbalanced yet beautiful Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley) as his patient in A DANGEROUS METHOD. Jung's weapon is the method of his master, the renowned Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen). Both men fall under Sabina's spell.

Being a psychology major, Ive always been interested in Freud and Jung. While I don't agree with a lot of their theories (at face value), I think there's some truth hidden beneath some of the absurdities. I've been wanting to see this for a while but it wasn't released wide enough for it to come to a theater near me

Me as well. I spent the last year of my psychology degree researching Freud and Jung as I was a TA for a Dream Theory course. I've wanted to see this film since I first saw the trailer but the closest theater it was playing in was over an hour away and none of my friends were interested. Will definitely be picking this up on day one.

My reasons would total 7: In addition to David Cronenberg, Michael Fassbender, and Vincent Cassell, I'd add writer Christopher Hampton, actor Viggo Mortensen, cinematographer Peter Suschitzky, and composer Howard Shore...that is, if forced to buy blind. Having seen the film, no such leap of faith is required. Another mesmerizing achievement from Canada's Kubrick.

But boy did it ever get the stick this awards season...

They really like putting Keira front and center on cover art for movies she's in. Reminds me of the Never Let Me Go cover, where her face took up most of the cover even though she had more of a supporting role.

This is a blind buy for me. I'll watch anything with Michael Fassbender in it (even Haywire..) so this will be a day one purchase.

I haven't been a fan of the posters and promotion done for this film and it seems that they still went with bland cover art for the release.
