USA All the President's Men and Frost/Nixon

Not sure how many of you have tried it, but I recently watched All the President’s Men and then watched Frost/Nixon…..I almost felt like I was watching a sequel….fantastic double feature for those of you that own both movies…..I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!!

No news for me
These two are a great one sitting.

I can't watch All the President's Men or 3 Days of the Condor without watching the other within a day or three.

I own and very much like Frost/Nixon. I've never seen and planned to buy All the President's Men, but I think I took it off my Wishlist because of reviews of the transfer. I'll look into it some more. Might get it.

It's definitely not reference but it's not nearly bad enough to avoid. The PQ review is a little harsh. I don't know if the crush in the darkest scenes are a product of the source or the transfer but it's definitely an issue. In parking garages and the like blacks tend to be lumps rather than shades.

I completely disagree about grain giving the film an overly grimy, gritty look. I think it looks just grimy and gritty enough

It's a nice book too. It's worth the $14-$15 it drops down to every so often.

Ok, thanks. I'll start actively pursuing a copy for myself. Hopefully a non-digibook copy on eBay, or something.

Yep, I thoroughly enjoy both of these. Langella should have gotten an Oscar for Frost/Nixon IMHO.
