Thumbs up Possible Godzilla movies on Blu Ray ?

Saw something very interesting when I typed Godzilla on the search field. There were listings for Godzilla 1985, Biollante, Final Wars, Godzilla vs. Mothra.
I thought that was very interesting if nothing else. Ive heard Biollante is going to be released from Echo Bridge and 1985 may be in the Image library. Final Wars is a Sony owned title.
Anyone know anything else about these titles coming to Blu Ray ?
The thought of them on HD sounds wonderfully monstrous !

Japan has released the '89 to '95 movies on Blu-ray which I will be getting with each volume of Go-Busters.

Default hope springs eternal

the sony movie channel will be showing Godzilla movies all this month in Hi-DEF, so this could lead to a possible bluray release for the following:

Godzilla vs Space Godzilla (uncut international version)
Godzilla vs Destoroyah (uncut international version)

Godzilla 2000
Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah
Godzilla Against Mecha Godzilla
Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.

and Mothra 3!!!

if they are showing these movies in hd, than a bluray release cant be far behind

I wouldn't be surprised if Sony licenses these to Twilight Time.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do. The HD versions of these films have been out for a while now. You can even do the whole VUDU disc to digital thing and take in copies of the ones they have available in HD and pay $5. I was contemplating doing that for the ones that they had available that I could sync Japanese audio too and have a BD-R made.

Default initial thoughts

just finished watching Godzilla 2000 and GMK, and i was quite impressed, after doing some comparisons with the dvd's upscaled through the oppo dv981hd, i look forward to these movies on bluray, especially if sony provides lossless audio (preferably dts hd ma, the dialog normalization with true hd just takes the fun out of everything) so heres hoping that sony just wanted to see how many people would tune in, so they could gauge the popularity of these movies and realize that we want them on bluray.

Go figure. The one movie I'd love to get an HD version for Vudu (Godzilla: Final Wars) and it's only available in SD.

twilight time did a great job with "as good as it gets" , so if they are using the same transfers, the Godzilla movies should turn out pretty good, assuming they will release them.

and that would be a hell of a lot better than media blasters
