United Kingdom UK Blade Releases Finally!

Blade releases 1st January 2013:

Blade Trinity: http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...;-1&sku=821226

Blade 2: http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...;-1&sku=821216

No mention of Blade yet though. I expect a release roughly the same time. Obviously these are placeholders & could release earlier.

Good news for those that don't like importing
I paid slightly less for Blade as I got it from Planet Axel and I've paid a quid more for Blade 2 (currently en route to myself).

For those who don't want to wait until 2013 and don't have a region free blu-ray player, Blade Trinity was released here in Australia 2 weeks ago, and Blade 2 is being released here on July the 10th. As we are also region 'B' here in Australia, some of you might want to import the Australian releases. Though like the UK, there is currently no sign of a release date of the 1st Blade movie here as of yet. The specs of Blade Trinity appear to be the same as the U.S release, however I have not done a bitrate comparison between the 2 versions.

I forgot about them being region free, I was thinking of the region 'A' locked Canadian Alliance releases for some silly reason. So you are right, there isn't many reasons for anyone to wait.

I agree, i was just making it known.

I have Blade & Blade 2 on route. I paid £14.25 each & they are the US Region Free Titles & not the inferior Canadian Releases! I will pick up Blade Trinity when I have some spare cash.....too many releases at the moment!

The only problem with Australian releases are the horrible Age ratings. Some are removable but I take it this one isn't?

The only Australian release i've purchased so far is the Predator Quadrilogy, as it's the only place to get it!

Yes, much cleaner!

I've just checked my order & it was Blade 2 & Trinity that are on route. I will purchase Blade from http://www.movietyme, as they've sent me a discount voucher which would make the final price £12.99!

No it isn't removable. The ratings logos don't bother me, it's just a cover, nothing to be obsessed or to lose sleep over. Other countries have large rating logos also, such as Germany, which I don't mind either. To be honest I actually like the Australian ratings logos better than the UK '18', '15', 'PG' etc ratings logos.

Exactly, the logos don't bother you but they bother me! I wouldn't lose sleep over it either. If i'm going to spend my hard earned money on something, I at least want something with my preference!

I do however own some dutch movies with the large logos on etc but only because you can't purchase them elsewhere. If I have a choice, I would rather the logos less apparant.

Kind Regards

That's your perogative. I didn't suggest you buy them. I made my post to inform others about their release here in Australia, for those who possibly might want to buy them. If however you do not like them because of their ratings logo, and therefore have no intention of purchasing them, then why you needed to bother commenting about it when you have no interest in the Australian releases is beyond me
