Default Fox introduces 'digital copy' for DVD

Kind of sad that Managed Copy is still nowhere to be found:

Fox's 'Live Free' DVD Launches Digital Copy

Quote:
“The industry has sold nearly 12 billion DVDs to date, and the release of Live Free or Die Hard is the first one that allows consumers to move their content to other devices,” Dunn said. “With the myriad of viewing options available to consumers in our rapidly evolving digital world, a DVD with digital copy offers a simple way for consumers to satisfy their growing desire to watch what they want, when they want and, most importantly, how and where they want.”

either the computer hard drive or a connected PlaysForSure video player
...Yep. More Amazon/Unbox/.WMV "We don't want to play with Stee-eve" crap.

Right idea (ie. Jobs' original idea to put iPod-ready Apple .M4V copies on disks, way back before he was "forced" to invent the iTunes Movie Store instead), Wrong execution, in hopes for corporate independence.
Oh, well. Back to the iTunes Store.
