Canada The Matrix - Steelbook or 10th Anniv. Digibook?

I'm looking at picking up the Matrix movies - I've only ever seen the first one and that was back when it originally came out.

I was thinking about picking up the Revolutions/Reloaded 2-pack and buying a standalone of the original - either the Steel or the Digibook?

Which would you get, and why?

Or should I just pick up the Trilogy of BD's and call it a day?

I find most steelbooks to be rather boring, & they often choose awful covers (IMO). I am very partial to cardboard packaging/digipaks & digibooks. So count this as a digibook vote.

I personally love digibooks. But the cover art on the best buy and canadian steelbook of the matrix are awesome. But I still favor the 10th anniversary digibook.

Have you thought about picking up the ultimate collection with the animatrix included?
Personally i have the box set, digibook as well as the steelbook
Not too fond of the digibook,,but it was a birthday prezzie form the kids,,so i like it.

Well, not unless it could be had for a whole lot less than what Amazon is currently selling it for.

Have even thought about just picking up the "regular" BD's to keep it cheap, but I kind of like the look of the Steel on this one, and the Digibook looks pretty nice too - they can be had for not too huge an investment, so was considering picking up one or the other. Might take a further wait and see approach to see if either further decreases in price.

For me, it's the digibook. I've been looking to get one for a little while (finding a UK-based copy on eBay hasn't yet worked out), but it's mainly because I actually enjoy looking at the book itself. The Matrix steelbook happens to be equally nice in this case.

What are the thoughts on the Reloaded/Revelations 2 pack?

Is Revelations a corrected version or still have the glitch seen in the Ulitimate Matrix collection?

Also, how are the special features? Comparable to what was on DVD?

I'm not usually a fan of having two movies in one case but seeing as how Revalations doesn't have a stand alone copy and these movies are essentially one story, I would make the exception.

Speaking of Steelbooks.

Does anyone know if the others will get the Steelbook treatment? I know some of you don't like the one of if not both sequels, but I personally liked them.

Wow. I searched for Matrix threads because I was gonna ask EXACTLY this same question. I think I like the idea of getting the digibook plus the 2pack. The first movie deserves more respect than the sequels. I remember being super super bored with Revolutions, like the Matrix finale had come to... elaborate machines flying around on the screen and lots of noise.

The other idea is to just get the standard trilogy and be done with it. Decision decisions...

Decision is made much easier with this new steelbook.
I like it more than the other steelbook with the big pink egg with an embryo on the front. No thanks.

The new steelbook captures the feel of The Matrix much more effectively.
