Tesla, that poor guy got screwed. He definitely needs a biopic!
JP Morgan first invested in Tesla's projects. Once Tesla figured out a way to create electricity that could be free, JP Morgan pulled out, labeled him a quack, discredited him, etc...all because JP Morgan couldn't make money off something that would be easily available and free to the public. |

I don't know about Bale playing Tesla. I would rather David Bowie reprise the role. He was awesome in The Prestige.
I'm looking forward to the story though. I really hope it exposes Edison for what he really was, a disgusting, shrewd and deceitful business man, instead of this great American hero we were taught in school. Telsa was the man and the world would probably be a better place if he wasn't driven to madness and solitary. We are just now understanding some of the technology he was working on a hundred years ago. |

Sounds interesting. Christian Bale's involvement in projects always catches my attention. I am really glad they are doing a biopic on Tesla. I am half-way through a biography on him and he was definitely fascinating and a man way ahead of his time. While I thought David Bowie was great as Tesla in The Prestige, I thought he gave him more of a magical feel than anything else. Will be cool to see what Bale does. As for Nicholas Cage, I like him a lot and he seems to fit the movies he is in: low quality movie = low quality performance. So I am absolutely fine with him being in this; he just seems like a very odd choice for Edison.
