I'll stick with my steelbook pre-order that doesn't have the ugly-ass "100th Anniversary" plastered all over it.

I think the blue banner with Universal 100th Anniversary is very pretty.

I'll definitely get it, along with the slipcover one, as I collect everything JAWS. But don't forget sheeple, the 40th Anniversary Blu with REAL special collector's packaging will most assuredly be released. THAT'S the one we're all waiting for....

I agree...its not intrusive and none of the artwork is compromised at all. So it doesn't bother me. I'll get the digibook as well as the standard blu-ray since I collect all things JAWS.

I had strange situation with this. I signed up for the Universal 100 site to get a $3 off coupon specifically for this edition yesterday (I don't have any of the other Universal 100 discs yet), but for hours, I couldn't get the coupons to print, as I'd forgotten that I'd disabled my add-ons. So I wasted two codes (both with $3 coupons) to get one $3 coupon printed out. Then last night I promptly lost the print out, and after searching to no avail, simply resigned myself to paying $24.99.

I got to Best Buy before it opened and waited, coming in with the first group of people. As usual, it took 5-10 minutes to find this new release catalogue title, which was on the one bottom shelf of one side of a cubic display--though it was in the front of the store, I will grant them that--they must have had perhaps four copies of the DigiBook out.

I took my copy up to the register, and I literally said to the cashier: "This is a shot in the dark, I know, but I had a $3 coupon for this, and I lost it. Is there anything you can do?" And he said: "Let me see if I can get [the system] to take $3 off." And it did. Et voila, I got the Jaws Digibook for $21.99 + tax with only my word.

A small service, no doubt, but I was pleased.

I picked up my online pre-order this morning at 10 am and I grabbed two more Jaws digibooks as well. There were only two copies left on the rack when I left the Patchogue, NY Best Buy.

I posted the two extra copies on the trading forum in the digibook thread. They are already gone.

I picked up the last copy at my store. Tons of regular editions, so one has to wonder about the scarcity of this thing. I'm sure in the end they will have plenty though.

Walked to my nearest Best Buy (Hollywood, CA on La Brea) at 12:30 and they were sold out already. Ended up ordering it online at the store...should be on my shelf in a week or so.

I did in-store pickup and noticed three more copies behind the counter that were ready for in-store pickup, and there was two more copies in the store.

I picked up mine down in the South Bay at 11:30ish. They're now showing unavailable online. It definitely looks like this is selling fast here in SoCal -- and this is only day one!

Default Jaws + Digibooks x Best Buy = More Coming!

For those who missed out yesterday on the Blu-ray JAWS Digibook Best Buy-Exclusive, of which I was one of them, a friend at BB today told me that stores will be getting more copies in as early as today/tomorrow via "rush shipments" direct to the stores. Also I was told that sometimes the website will show "Unavailable" for a store if they have less than 3 copies available. Not sure how reliable that is, but one store I checked stated online it was unavailable, only to call and be told they had a copy on the shelf.

So for those wanting to get one, check your stores later today or tomorrow at the earliest as they are being shipped via FedEx/UPS rush service now. Best Buy clearly underestimated the demand for this digibook release, as someone else pointed out, Shark Week this week on Discovery Channel, and the special on Jaws last night probably helped push some copies.

There is already a giant Jaws thread on the first page. This belongs there.

Yes I understand that but since that thread you are referring to is 50+ pages in length already, some may not think to click it to find out that Best Buy stores are getting in more copies, thus, I am trying to alert people via a separate thread so they don't give up hope and resort to paying 2x the price on eBay. My attempt is to help people out, and if another thread is too much for some people to handle, then my apologies.

Thanks for the thread, it served it's purpose! I just went over to eBay.. and they're selling for an average of $50.. I feel bad for people who don't bother to check forums and such. Reseller's = scum of the earth.
