Deep Purple had some amazing musicians in the band --- all the way around ! !

I remember first listening to my first Deep Purple album, Machine Head, as a Jr. in High School in 1972.

What impressed me most from that LP was the keyboard work in the great tune "Lazy". That was easily my favorite track off that album from the get-go.

Thanks Jon for all the great things you accomplished in your lifetime --- You went too soon ! ! !

That's truly very sad news, def my favorite keyboard player of them all. I mean no one could make a B3 wail (spelling) like he did. Not many B3s in rock before him AFAIK. He helped redefine the rock sound. Very very sad indeed.

He was an incredibly gifted man, that's for sure! One of the absolute best keyboardists of his (or any) time.
