Germany A very silly question...

Hi everyone,

They say that the silliest question is the one not asked and I really want to do my research. I really hope you don't mind as I am a newbie to ordering overseas, so here goes -

I live in Australia and want to order the Captain America Steelbook and the Avengers Steelbook from amazon.de but I have a couple questions -
Are the menus, etc in English?
Is the default audio language in English (i.e. when you insert the disc)?
Are the discs identical to the Uk releases (same pressing)?
Are the classification ratings removable (i.e. stickers)?

Sorry to bother anyone, but blu-ray collectors are usually a friendly bunch, so I thought I would see if anyone could shed some light on this.

I'll try to give as many informations as possible.
First: I don't know about Avengers, because it is not in Stores, yet.

Regarding Captain America:
The Content of the Discs seems to be the same, as on the UK Discs, I don't know if they are pressed in the same factory, but they share the list of audio streams and so on.
I don't know on default language on the disc, but afaik it is something that could be set in a player. Like I own UK Discs with german Audio and german menue, and my player present always the german menues and has settings according to my default player language.
So chances are high that the menues are also in english on such big titles, released by an international company.

Regarding Steelbooks:
It is common that that the ugly german classification logos are removable stickers on steelbooks, or some hard paper which could be removed.

As said: I only can write on C.A.
But I am sure Avengers will contain english audio and may even have english menues.

Hi,

yes the most German-DVD's /Blu-Rays Releases contains the original english soundtrack and also the menus.

No, the UK and German Release are most (but not always) different. The UK's doesn't have all the time subtitles. It can be, that UK releases have more bonus features than the germans.

The UK release are cheapier.

Classification ratings (on the DVD/Blu-Ray Cover): only a few time they're removable. Most time not and thats why many many german speaking fans hate DVD/Blu-rays.
