Default Quick question

Tried to find this by searching, but I can't think of any one specific term that'd be successful...

Where can I find the total number of Blu-rays and HD-DVDs available in the US?

http://www.eproductwars.com/dvd/
463 blu-ray
389 hd dvd
I counted the scheduled releases for both formats as listed at highdefdigest.com about 5 days ago. At that time 120 blu-rays to be released by years end, 65 hd dvds.
Sucks to be red.

Yeah, I got 375 BD from there. Any idea where I can get the number for HD-DVD? I'm arguing with some joker who's claiming HD-DVD has more titles available.

See this post - it has a table for U.S. and worldwide HD DVD releases versus Blu-ray releases.

If the Joker believes HD-DVD has more titles then there's no sense in debating him...he won't listen to logic.

Well, there are innocents observing the argument, and I'm hoping to sway some of them. I can't abide ignorance being thrown around as fact where it might influence people to make a poor decision in this war.

It was funny, another guy in the thread tried to argue with me that HD-DVD's bitrate limits are being addressed because, I quote, "HD-DVD storage is supposedly getting raised to the point where more hours per Gigabyte can be streamed from the damn disk."

Thanks Wondermaker for the link. It took a while of digging through that but I found the data I needed.

I love the way HD-DVD supporters think. I got into an a little argument with one at MicroCenter today. ...and they do not listen to logic for sure.
