After reading all the 5 star ratings on the pq, I'm very disappointed in what I've seen. All during the movie and especially at the end the black are severely digitized and fade in and out. Did I get a bad transfer or are others seeing this. It's not an equipment issue so how does no one else who rated this movie see this?

That's exactly what I said. I was wondering if I put the dvd in by mistake but I didn't. I've watched dvd's that looked better.

Just bought my copy yesterday on Amazon for $9.99, but I won't get it for quite some time yet. However, regardless of PQ, I'll be happy having my complete Mission Impossible Blu-ray set complete with the latest installment at that price.

Same here. And I know it's not an equipment issue. My plasma can delivery stunning PQ - literally make you feel as if you can reach into the TV and touch the actors. But this BLU fell flat to me. Still enjoyed the film, but would have liked a much better PQ.

![]() If it weren't for the possibility of your set-up not being calibrated properly I would think you were trolling saying that. Last edited by ObiWanShinobi; 07-19-2012 at 01:50 PM. |

![]() And FYI: having a different opinion...even one that you personally strongly disagree with, is not "trolling". This is a discussion board. Meaning: people come here to discuss all aspects of various blu ray discs -- the good, the bad and the ugly. And the great thing about that: one will come across a wide variety of opinions, and having an opposing opinion isn't "trolling". Last edited by Nostromo; 07-19-2012 at 03:28 PM. |

Unfortunately these days opinions like yours on discs like this are indeed a minority and some are genuine and some simply are not. If you thought I was calling you a troll then I apologize and I DO understand the concept of opinion, trust me...thats just a "out of left field" remark on the PQ of a Blu thats been received by most as a reference quality disc. It's okay though, I'm sure there are people out there that think Avatar has "barely better than DVD" PQ...but it they really believe that then they will be VERY dissapointed with Blu-Ray in general. |

![]() I know a lot of people (probably most in fact), think MI:4 PQ is amazing. Good for them. I just didn't see it. ![]() |

You can't really have an opinion on something provable. If the actual picture quality is graded, and proven to be sharper and more detailed than a DVD, then no amount of "opinion" can change the fact that it looks much better. |

This has been mentioned countless times by the pro and user reviewers on the site, and also many others. It's common knowledge that not all BLU transfers are created equal. |
