Says it will have a DTS HD MA-track, but really, there's really nothing wrong with the current disc, and I don't think a potential AVC encode would do much to improve on the already stellar VC1-encode Warner provided us with.

The US release of Heat had a video bitrate of only 22mbps (which combined with the VC-1 codec isn't that good) with a paltry 16-bit Dolby TrueHD audio track. I'd be rather surprised if Geneon didn't make a marked improvement in quality with their release.
I only have one of Geneon's releases (Terminator 2 Premium Edition), but that edition is widely considered the best version of it anywhere. Last edited by svenge; 07-20-2012 at 09:03 PM. |
