I am sick of this trend. No I am not joking. I seriously am seriously sick of it. First the news of sholay and now shivaji!!! Whats the point of converting a 2D film into 3D? AFAIK, nothing and i bet nothing is gonna pop out of screen in these conversions....forget about old film conversions....didnt anyone notice that of the most recent, neither ra.one nor don2 had anything popping out? they were just unbearable headaches in their 3D versions. And please dont give me the gyan about depth of field in 3D image...i wud never buy it. 3D is destructive. For all 3D does is kill the entire film of its true color pallette, contrast, brightness and above all, sharpness- how could someone give away with these basics of cinematography and instead prefer the hideous glasses to watch a film that only seems a couple of inches nearer than the actual screen?? how ? Can anyone ensure that all projectors in country are capable enough to brighten the image to play 3D ? are the glasses even properly cleaned ? Tell me just one justification why 2D to 3D makes look of any film better cause i am literally frustrated. May be its just me.

PS: Feel free tell me if anyone feels this is an annoying post and i will delete it immediately.

Dude Anurag, don't be apologetic over a very sensible post. This is just a stupid gimmick probably conceived by some complete idiot that sees it as an instant money making formula. All these ventures will be short-lived once they realize that the initial curiosity factor for people will fall rapidly and they won't make back the cost of doing these 3D converted re-releases.

Thanks for supporting Ravenus ... i sure hope a ton that day of awakeing arrives asap.

I feel very very hurtful imagining plight of the cinematographers of these films. I am sure they are never consulted in these decisions being just marketing gimmicks and so I literally feel extremely profound pain seeing their hard work literally being 'raped' like this. I am strictly against 2D-3D conversion. Period.

Infact am against 3d till the day it is on par with 2d color pallet, brightness, contrast and sharpness. In addition to it, glasses must go. Till then nothing comes close to 2d.

Default 3D sucks!

You only come out with a headache when you watch the 3D movie. Because your so much focused on the 3d aspect, you forget to appreciate all the other major technicalities in the film!
