Default Superheroes who you just don't care about...

I was just thinking, I love Batman, loved the Avengers and the films that ran up to it, but I have no interest whatsoever in getting excited about the new superman film.

I just wondered if there were any superheroes who people rave about that you have no interest in...?

I don't care about the majority of the DC universes' stable of "major" heroes, including Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman etc. Batman is the only really interesting one with interesting villains, though Green Lantern is a possibility simply because it encompasses galaxies (of course the GL movie sucked).

I'm starting to feel much the same about Marvel super heroes, TBH. Downey is starting to get a bit irritating as Stark (worked in The Avengers, but I have no interest in Iron Man 3). Thor and Captain America are dull.

For the past while I'm only really interested in R-rated graphic novel adaptations plus a few other PG-13 super hero franchises (bring back the Hulk!).

I don't really care about Batman but I loved Nolans trilogy. Can't say I'll be all too interested in the reboot.

This is how I feel, except I am not a huge fan of Nolan's trilogy, but I know well made movies when I see them!

...and, even though I love Marvel, I gotta agree here, too. I'm honestly shocked & surprised they're doing Ant-Man.

I don't really care about superheroes in general.. I do, however, care about movies which is why I really enjoy the Nolan Batman franchise, 300 and a few Marvel films like Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America.. I guess you could say I don't care about Spiderman but thats probably because I didn't enjoy the movies (or maybe I didn't enjoy the movies because I don't like Spiderman?)..

If a movie is good I don't care who it is about...

Ditto! Except, I wouldn't mind seeing a Superman vs Darkseid movie.

I don't know why the original Superman films spent so much time with Lex Luthor. So many other villians they could have used.

But in any case, I prefer the MARVEL line of superheros. Always kind of have. When I was a young child, 35 years ago, I had a deck of MARVEL superhero flash cards. Well, it was a Memory Match Game, I believe, but anyway, I originally got familiar with the MARVEL Universe first.

Thumbs down

-The Punisher. A guy with a skull on his shirt with a gun? Wow. lol Loved it when Cap kicked his rear in the Civil War story.

-Ghost Rider. Uninteresting and has horrible villains.

-Daredevil. Lame. Yeah I know he has a good following with fans, but I have never seen the appeal of the character.

-Jonah Hex.

Yeah, anyone laughing at Aquaman should read the New 52 take on him. It's really good.

The new 52 version of him is so badass. It is one of my current favorite comics and i think it would make an awesome movie. People who hate on Aquaman have no idea what they are missing.

Absolutely. I was trying to get into comics again after a few years of not reading them at all. Saw Aquaman, thought about the silly Super Friends version of him and thought "nah... not going to buy that one". But reviews of the new version really have been great, and I changed my mind, and really did not regret it. Just goes to show that with good talent behind it, anything can be made great.

same here. Hadn't touched a comic book in at least 15 years until i read all of these rave reviews on Aquaman. I was like "are they serious??" I bought #1 and was floored.
