Default Mad Men Season 5 - October 16, 2012

Per TV Shows on DVD Mad Men season 5 will be released on October 16. Per the link:

Quote:
We've just gotten word from our retail industry contacts that Lionsgate Entertainment has scheduled Mad Men - Season 5 on 4-disc DVD ($49.98 SRP) and 3-disc Blu-ray ($49.97 SRP) to be in stores on October 16th. As usual the Blu version comes with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, while the DVD set's soundtrack is English 5.1 Dolby Digital and closed captioning. Both 611-minute sets come with English and Spanish subtitles, and widescreen video. Package art hasn't been distributed yet, but here's a nice list of bonus material that you'll find on both versions of the title:

26 Cast and Crew Commentaries
"Mad Men" Says the Darndest Things
The Uniform Time Act of 1966
What Shall I Love If Not the Enigma?
Party of the Century

Got to disagree. Each season just tops the last.

I still love the show and will buy this, but I've got to agree---to me, season 5 was significantly weaker than all the previous ones.

The season started off slow and i was wondering what happened to the writers, but then the last few episodes were really good, classic Mad Men. Im gonna wait for a Black Friday deal n this one.

Personally, I thought season 4 was more engaging....I rate it slightly above season 5.

Yes, but it was released in early 2011. You can't expect a BD to get released in late 2012 and then go on sale the next month.

Yes, you can. That is how it is most of the time anyways.

I'm guessing season 1-4 will be 7.99 each since they've gone down a buck each year.

2010: $10
2011: $9
2012: $8

and then season 5 will probably be one of the $19.99 titles down from the $40+ list price. OCtober launch price day will probably be $30-35

I've had this pre-ordered from Amazon for months now, so I'm obviously in day one.

I bought S1-4 during the lightning sale last Thanksgiving, so I don't mind going Day 1 on S5. Can't wait to finally watch it!

Yeah, that is my one issue with the Mad Men releases -- the cover art is terrible. The discs are amazing, though.
