disc's "3.01 million in Blu-ray and 1.97 million in HD-DVD through the end of September"

"...consumers will spend $186 million purchasing Blu-ray discs, versus $91 million for HD-DVD."

Now TF is 100,000 units sold, what happened to the other 90,000?

Good news of us!!!!!!!!!!

Technically speaking they said TF sold over 100,000 the first day.

I still don't understand how they sold 100,000 on Monday though.....it was released on Tuesday. The offical sales numbers for last week can't come quick enough.

Obvious article as Blu has been winning week by week. I would rather read an article saying we were up 3-1 in sales versus ALMOST 2-1 which doesn't sound as commanding. Though Blu is leading, it seems HD-DVD is inching closer or hanging tight rather than Blu ray pulling away. I would love to see better marketing done by the BDA. I turn on my local sports radio station and heard an ad for HD-DVD, is Blu hiding in the shadows?

Yup, I also heard a HD-DVD promo on my local sports talk radio station. They were giving away a Toshiba HD-DVD player. Felt sick...

That is SI number. That is expanding. Now that Blu-ray has been winning all year, people forget that HD DVD was lead the SI numbers until mid-Feb. That is HUGE!

don't forget we will get those 100,000 units that transformers took and more tenfold once next week comes with spider-man, and then later with ratatouille, and especially pirates of the caribbean. people keep forgetting that. the year to date numbers will keep pulling to blu-ray. that's undeniable. they take some, we come back and take more. that's the nature of it.
