Hard Core Logo Blu-ray SteelBook.
It is G2 (Blu-ray size). There is no Amaray case released for this Blu-ray. This is a Canada release, but can also be bought at amazon.com. Available at: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0091UCB5W http://www.amazon.com/Hard-Core-Logo...hard+core+logo http://www.videoservicecorp.com/inde...-logo-blu-ray/ Sorry for the flash in the pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hard Core Logo is often compared to This Is Spinal Tap--and for marketing purposes, that makes sense: both are pretend documentaries about rock bands (a self-important heavy metal crew in Spinal Tap, a self-destructing punk mob in Hard Core Logo). But though Hard Core Logo can be cuttingly funny, it's not really a comedy; it's a piercing examination of friendship and betrayal, success and self-hatred, and everything that fueled punk rock. Lead singer Joe Dick (Hugh Dillon) uses false pretenses to convince guitarist Billy Tallent (Callum Keith Rennie) to reform Hard Core Logo for a reunion tour across Canada, followed by a film crew (featuring director Bruce McDonald, whose other films include Roadkill and Highway 61, as himself). Tallent agrees, but only because he expects to be joining a much more successful rock group very shortly and sees this as a favor to Dick. As they travel from town to town, their relationship unravels, as does the psyche of bass player John Oxenberger (John Pyper-Ferguson). The performances are astonishingly genuine; even the oafish drummer Pipefitter (Bernie Coulson) becomes three-dimensional. By the end, you'll believe in them so much as people that the band's disintegration is truly wrenching. A remarkable film, both comic and sad. --Bret Fetzer |

These are "Rockumentaries"
Entirely fake, as well and Canadian made. The band Billy Talent got their name from a character in the first movie "Billy Tallent" Second film is not as good as the first. |

Funny to see a Bruce MacDonald movie on steelbook. I took a 'Canadian Film' course in my college studies and watched Bruce MacDonald's Highway 61 and Roadkill then, I enjoy his work. He also directed Pontypool which was a pretty great Zombie movie.
Hardcore Logo wouldn't be my favorite work of his, but I could see myself picking this up one day. |

I got mine today from amazon since there was nowhere to hand pick in my area. Before I checked out I added a few blus from my "save for later" 25 pages list and of course the left back corner of the amaray packed on top made a mark on my steel, it's not that bad I don't even want to return it too much hassles for a $20 blu-ray.
