Carol Media Home Entertainment has released, albeit cut versions, of the Spanish horror series The Blind Dead. This contains La Noche Del Terror Ciego aka Tombs of the Blind Dead from 1971; the 1973 film, El Ataque de los Muertos Sin Ojos aka Return of the Blind Dead; El Buque Maldito aka The Ghost Galleon from the year 1974; and finally, the 1975 film, La Noche de las Gaviotas aka Night of the Seagulls. This Blu-ray only contains German DD 2.0 and is 1080/50i. I picked this up from Grooves Inc with Christmas money, so, I didn't pay for it really. But, it was $12 and some change. I am waiting for it arrive.

Too bad they are cutted. the four movies are on one dual layer BD, and the movie quality is stated to be not so bad.

Maybe someday uncut versions occur... I never saw the movies...

I really wanted to get this one when I first found out about it. But the reviews for it are extremely negative, all the movies are cut.

Since I saw it for $12 and some change on Grooves and since it was Christmas money I bought it with, I don't feel too bad about buying cut movies. Maybe if anyone has the regular versions, we can compare the time lengths on what is cut or not?

I don't think they did new cuts, so I would assume that they are the regular FSK 16 cuts.
So it would be quite possible that these german reports show whats missing:

Copy just arrived in the mail. It's in some strange cardboard casing. Mine has a bit of a rip on it. But, I'm not complaining.

Unfortunately not.
I almost check the dtm.at forum daily.
If there's news, I'll post them here.
One of the possible reasons for the long delay:
Part three is - ridiculously enough! - banned in Germany.
Maybe they try to get the banning revoked to sell it legally in Germany as well.
A few companies succeeded in doing that in the recent past.

It's been on Blu in Germany ( DVD too ) so doubt that is the problem.

More likely the 4 films are spread across 3 rights holders and there is a sticking problem with one of the owners and a couple films. A US company was actively trying to nail these down as a set and could not so I do not see Germany getting lucky anytime soon.

Answer from the XT label spokesman:

"English language track: yes - as far as it exists".
