A apparently good high-concept idea - a sniper picking off the residents of a tower block - collapses when given a minutes thought. The most obvious flaw is that the sniper can only cover one side of the building. Unfortunately this didn't stop the film makers or force them to work through the problem and this film has this major fault shouting out along with some very silly plot devices, most notably one involving hoses. Character development is sketchy which leads me to suspect some scenes were removed. What it does deliver is some sudden, brutal moments of violence and a cast far better than the material deserves. Its difficult to judge the blu ray as the image is very highly processed but the bit rate is mid 30s. Only extra is a six minute making of. Very nice lenticular slipcover, well it would be if it wasn't plastered in quotes from the kind of reviewer that thinks Die Hard 5 is better than the first. Worth a rental if you're in a tolerant mood
