United Kingdom Deadly Blessing - March 25th

Arrow are releasing Deadly Blessing in March

Torn between waiting for this or going for the Scream Factory release end of this month.

The question I have is the US release is quoted on amazon/this site as 2 minutes longer. So is the UK Arrow disc cut?

Am kind of thinking of ditching Arrow due the ZFE issue, but their DB release is £7 cheaper and has UK exclusive Wes Craven interview

Right ok. Thought the run time was just for the movie and credits. Guess must be mistake. I'll wait for scream release and check out info then. Just thought may be uk is holding back 2 minutes of film.

I see Final Cut released this on blu last year.

Does anybody know if the picture and audio are better or worse than the OOP Arrow?

Thanks.

Default Deadly Blessing, censored?

Hello,

I have 2 different versions from Arrow UK (blu-ray).
One is rated 15, the other is 18.
The 18 version is listed as longer on the cover.

Does anyone know if the movie is different? Maybe the 15 version is censored?

DVD Compare does only have one of the releases

Maybe one release was rated later and after being reassessed was lowered to a 15?

That might be the thing.
I did send a mail to Arrow, asking.

Gonna post the answer as soon as I hear back from them

How does someone even get in touch with Arrow? Would love to send them suggestions for blu-ray releases.

I know you probably mean well, but they really don’t want or need your suggestions.

The shorter run time on the original Arrow release is most likely because it's dual-format and they've quoted the DVD runtime (98 mins x 1.04 for pal speedup = 102 mins).

Not sure what's going on with the rating though - the original Arrow blu was 15, then the later reissue was 18, and then a subsequent release from Final Cut is 15 again. The only reason I can think of is that the second Arrow release had something in its extras that pushed up the rating (although that would have to be something that wasn't on the original release).

PAL/NTSC, running time - that could very well be the thing.
Extras... I will check both releases when I get home.

Looking forward to hearing back from Arrow (sendt them a mail 2 weeks ago)
