Default Building HTPC...Need Advice on Audio Card

HI:
I hope this thread is in the right place. If not, Mods please feel free to move it, I am building an HTPC and I would like to get an audio card that decdes HD audio (i.e. HD-Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD, but I'm sure you already knew what I meant ).

Any siggestions? Also, what do these cards usually cost? Thanks in advance!

Ok are you looking for a card that Bitstreams to a receiver, or are you looking for decoding to be done in the PC because that's handled via software.

I will be using PDVD13 as the software player so I know it can handle doing the decoding in the PC. What I am confused on is how do I get HD Audio? With my current setup I am only getting Dolby Digital....do I need to use HDMI audio from my graphics card?

HD audio ...set you PDVD13 to bitstream hdmi output in your setup and go hdmi out to your receiver. That should do it for you

Yes PowerDVD must be set to bitstream output as mentioned above. You could also try XBMC which also bitstreams, and if your receiver can't decode XBMC will decode for you.
