Hard to just pick five. I was also quite fond of my steelbooks for the Basket Case trilogy, the new Total Recall, Snow White and the Huntsman, V season 1, Psycho, the Testament of Dr. Mabuse, and many others.

I got Ninja Scroll SB for Christmas and only just managed to watch it last week. The cover art and presentation of the set is amazing, however did you find the transfer wasnt that great and the English audio had some weird backing noise...like running water or something!?

Yeah, the sound quality is hideous for the English dubbing. The Japanese audio is better, as I recall.

I was happy with the picture quality; it's certainly a grade sharper than the DVD. I expected colors and contrast to be washed out, but I think colors appeared better than I expected. It's just a bit smurred with DNR.

A better edition is certainly possible, but judging the steelbook for packaging and artwork alone, it is still a personal favorite.

Im glad you said that as I thought it was just me that thought the english dub transfer wasnt too good, to the point where I switched to the Jap audio within 10 minutes. Its a shame because its actually a movie ive watched more dubbed, so I associate the film with the American voice actors!

The packaging is very nice though, its got like this foil effect

You'd think - with a thread like this - OP would kick things off with his own top 5...

Default Top 5 Steelbooks

This is my list of favourites based on the look of the steel book, not on the movie itself, although I have enjoyed the movies as well.

Honourable mention:

The Dark Knight Rises – HMV

I don't own any of these, but from what I've seen in photos:

1. Tron Legacy - Australia
2. Sleeping Beauty - Best Buy US/Canada
3. Jurassic Park Trilogy - Germany
4. Iron Man - Play UK
5. Akira - Amazon Japan

(in no particular order)
