How come Monsters Inc has two different blu ray versions?

One is the original release and the other the re-release from when the 3D version came out.

One was the original release which went oop. The other is the most recent which was released when Monsters Inc 3D went into theaters I believe. Either that or when 3D got released to blu. I don't quite remember off the top of my head.

I think the first one is the Spanish version. At least that's what is highlighted under "other formats and versions". But both appear to be from the 2001 release.

Top is an imported copy (from the UK I think) of the old release which Disney put in a moratorium period. The bottom is the re-release. Same transfer, but slightly different extras I believe.
