Although I know Vader will probably have the most votes, nobody will ever touch Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter.

More memorable I'm going with Darth Vader, but Joker I think is the most memorable of this generations movie villains.

Vader is iconic, and Ledger's Joker was the performance of a lifetime, but no list is complete without HANS GRUBER.

Also, Jack Torrance and Agent Smith are nowhere NEAR the same league as those other villains.

Vader for sure

Some memorable villains not mentioned:

Voldemort from the Harry Potter films- I actually think he might even come closest to dethroning Vader. His presence not only scares the hell out of everyone (so much so that they won't say his name), but he's scary looking, and menacing across all 8 movies/7 books

Scar from The Lion King
Commodus from Gladiator
