NBC are planning to produce a new season of FRIENDS!!???

Craig Ferguson mentioned on The Late Late Show that there are rumors NBC are planning to produce a new season of Friends!!

Is this true!!??

Anyone know any more info about this rumor?

My cousin posted an article on facebook last night about this. There’s not a whole lot of info…..or even if it’s true.

If the original cast (all 6 of them) and writers are involved…..i’d be all over this!!

This was a rumor started by some radio station in Oklahoma which made a fake image that stated that a reunion special that would air on Thanksgiving 2014. Some mainstream sites believed this was a real image that NBC had released but it was quickly debunked, with Warner Brothers saying there will be no reunion and creator Marta Kauffman saying there will never be a reunion.

Well if this thread ends up getting over a 1000 replies maybe NBC will see how popular the show still is and then actually make a new season LOL!

With how badly NBC is doing I'm sure there's nothing they'd like better than to get Friends back in some form, but it's not happening. Courtney Cox is on Cougar Town, Matt LeBlanc is on Episodes, Lisa Kudrow is on Web Therapy, Matthew Perry is on Go On, and Jennifer Aniston is a movie star. Only David Schwimmer's career has been fairly stagnant since Friends ended, and that largely seems to be his choice, as he's done some directing but not many major roles outside his voice work in the Madagascar movies. Friends ending was the choice of the cast and it's unlikely they'll want to revisit the show anytime soon.

Considering none of them have had a major success outside of the show in recent years, they probably all would come back. While they all (for the most part) have stuff going on, it is not high profile unless it's tabloid Aniston-related crap. She may be in those moving pictures, she can't sell tickets.

I never liked the show (or Seinfeld) so I don't care if it comes back or not. That said, NBC needs something to bring its head back above water. Maybe reviving this would do it?

First I have heard of it, im pretty sure show is done. Most I could see them doing is 20 years later with Ben, Emma, and twins with the original actors in guest roles.
