K-Mart most likely got some very needed $$$$ to sign up. I cannot think of a K-Mart anywhere in the Seattle Metro area??

Lol this is hilarious!

Here in Australia K-mart is known for selling SHIT electronics, $1.99 crap!

The HDUD fanbots will be hailing this as the second coming whilst saying that Blockbuster going exclusive meant nothing and Netflix is the bomb!

KMART is the place you go to to buy products that suck! It is the place you go to buy things that are second hand, don't work, old technology, out-of-date... I bet you can still find 8 tracks down there...

Well here in Australia Woolworths owns Dick Smith which is one of the MAJOR electronics retailers in Australia, they sell latest tv's, dvds etc pretty much everything!

And They also own BIGW which is a BIG seller of DVD's.

Kmart seems to be doing alright here in Australia, cant comment on the states. But as I said they aren't known for selling quality electrical : Magnavox, Sanyo branded plasmas and other wierd and strange brands that I'd be too scared to even plug in!

That is what I have been saying all along: hd dvd is CRAP. You don't go to K-Mart to buy good stuff.
Looks like toshiba is trying to get rid of all those players before it's too late, so they can at least save a couple of $.
So now if you were a big CE company would you board totosh train? Where is the profit?
Only one hd dud player manufacturer out there: toshiba. How many BD manufacturers? Plenty: that's where the money is.
Totosh don't care about consumer: get them now because the format gonna be obsolete very very soon. I think they were supposed to add that in their ads.
Let the World feel the Blu!

I avoid my local K-Mart like the plague. It is the epitome of trashiness. All K-Marts I've ever been to are like that. Soooo messy and disorganized and out of date. My local K-Mart still keeps all DVD's behind glass cases and sells a nice selection of VCR's

I thought VCRs were things that people couldn't even get rid of at home yard sales.
