Default What's with the random Universal film releases with limited comic style steelbooks?

Anybody know whats with a lot of Universal's films being released with limited edition comic paneled steel books? I find it odd they are doing that for movies that have no relation to comics such as The Mummy and Scarface.

They were originally released in Germany.

Just because they have a comic style doesn't mean they have to be a comic
