dont know how much of a hot deal this is but HMV canada (from what i know) is having a 2 for 50$ deal on selected titles. they have about a dozen different titles including: the omen, harts war, underworld, saw 1,2,3 and more that i cant remember sorry

They've had it for a while now... For the most part I am not impressed with their prices - even at 2 for 50

really??? havent been in hmv for a while just figured you guys oughta know. personally though im not a huge fan of hmv for their bd selection and price

What is most significant is that this isn't a sale, or limitted time offer. This is Blu-ray entering the conventional pricing structure of HMV.

Release pricing transitioning to N for $XX pricing. IIRC, 2 for $50 was the first time it occured on DVD too, in 1998.

It's a hopeful sign that Blu-ray is starting to transition into the mainstream a bit.

Some of them are new (like Omen), but a 2 for 50 ghas been there for some time on the rest

Yeah they have had that deal for a while now. Im not sure whether or not the new films that are released are part of it. I ll go have a chat with the hmv people this weekend
