Resident Evil vs. Underworld - Blu-ray Forum

It was a toss up for me, went Resident Evil cause of natural progression, no prequel in between movies 2 and 4 like with Underworld.

Underworld and Underworld Evolution are the only movies from that series worth watching. The Resident Evil movies on the other hand, I only watch for Milla Jovovich.

I like the first four Resident Evil movies the 5th one was rubbish while I only like Underworld Evolution and Underworld Awakening so voted for Resident Evil.

This is true however, Resident Evil series is just boring to me, the last one was clearly just them milking the series.... Well the same Underworld Awakening, it was pretty stupid as well. But I'm still picking Underworld

I knew my favorite Ninja ~~Turtle~~ Alien would agree with me

I can't wait for the reboot of the RE series.

both the movies are now dead to me as there were only the initial installments of the two were interesting and quite worth to watch but now what are the the shows of them are coming out no more than mere efforts to get benefited with named and old established reputation ..

I like both series and have all of them on blu, but I give the edge to Resident Evil.

Too close to call, as I love both of them!!

Underworld 1 is one of my all-time favorite films and I love the Resident Evil series! But Kate is a goddess in those leather and latex outfits and even though Milla looks also super gorgoues in the RE films I have to give the edge to the Underworld franchise.

Resident Evil. I find the Underworld's pretty boring. They're pretty much only worth watching for Beckinsale.

I am very surprised that RE is leading in this poll. The series is sooooo bad. Acting, storyline direction. Paul Anderson needs to be completely removed from the series in every capacity. This series should be creepy and scary not some half ass action packed kung-fu flick. Got my fingaz crossed for a reboot of the franchise.

As for Underworld, the 4th one was horrifically bad. Overall the series has provided good acting for the genre and a good story + good action. Should there be a fifth the gang has to return.

I like both, but realize they're both bad in certain ways. lol I find it funny how much they have in common though. Meaning that both actresses are married to the writer/director/producer of their franchise. And both franchises are released by Sony. And both seem to have gotten worse with the addition of 3D...

I voted for Resident Evil simply because the dark cinematography of the Underworld movies grates on my nerves after a while. Resident Evil at least has some semblance of color and variety.

I like both franchises and (own all the movies on BD), but I like Beckinsale a lot more than Jovovich, so Underworld wins.
