EDIT: Ugh...just saw the art...never mind...

I have the FYE DVD steelbook of Cloverfield and have been arguing with myself whether to get the Centenary Edition or not. It's the exact same thing, just G2 size. Decisions, decisions...

Yeah, was hoping Cloverfield's would be a little different. I might pick it up since I love the movie so much, but there was definitely a missed opportunity there.

The Matrix one is about as bland as you can get though. I mean, the other one with the people pod was absolutely BEAUTIIFUL. It's what got me into steelbooks in the first place.

I thought that people pod steelbook was horrible myself. Each to their own etc..

Where are people finding the steelbook art for anything but Zodiac and Shutter Island, which have been posted in this thread?

Hope it turns out true in the U.S., I'm in for the following:

Cloverfield
A Nightmare On Elm Street [1984]
Se7en
Zodiac: Director's Cut (As long as it's the 2-Disc Set. Since it's a Paramount re-package, I'm hoping they treat it just like "Gladiator" & "Braveheart")

I can't see the US not getting them. The Last Warner Wave was released in the US 1 week before the Canadian so i expect something similar with this one.

Not sure if Zodiac is 1 or 2 disc, that info was not listed yet.

I'd agree on us getting them in the U.S., My fingers are crossed. The Steelbooks of "Braveheart" & "Gladiator" got both discs and were licensed to Warner for repackage, so is Zodiac. So, I'm hoping they'll keep the same theme by including both discs as well.

I'd love to see the art for zodiac be just the symbol n front, and the first coded letter on the back

Floating heads are an immediate NO WAY in my book

I'm, 99.9% of the time, with you on that, but this might be that .01% where the floating heads artwork actually works for me. As I mentioned earlier, hopefully these all have interior art as that might prove to be deciding factor on this one for me.

Guess I'm not getting the Zodiac steel now. I'd rather have the artwork that's on the regular BD release.

And is it me or does Jake Gyllenhaal look cross-eyed on that cover?

Looking at that Cloverfield steelbook, I'd say that the UK "Centenary Edition" from Play.com and Paramount, easily blows it out of the water.

Sorry WB.

(PS: Glad to have the UK one in my collection.)
