Cool Strike Back -- Series Thread -- Fridays on Cinemax

Premieres tomorrow night on Cinemax. There was a thread from 2 years ago that no one commented in and had a misspelling in the thread title. Thought with season 3 premiering, it would be a good idea to start a new clean one.

Synopsis:

Enjoying a long-deserved vacation, Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) and Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) are recalled after a fellow Section 20 member dies while pursuing the elusive terrorist al-Zuhari in Beirut. A new lead sends them into the remote jungles of Colombia in pursuit of a known associate of al-Zuhari's and deep in territory controlled by a powerful drug cartel.

Written by Simon Burke and Tim Vaughan & Michael J. Bassett; directed by Michael J. Bassett.

10 episode season.

I have Cinemax and this is my favorite show of the summer. Can't wait.

Anyone here see episode 1 tonight or does no one here have Cinemax?

There is a free Cinemax preview for Directv subscribers.

Great start. Absolutely rocking 1st episode.

at Scott banging the bartender's daughter. Is that a record for the fastest that Scott ever got laid?

It was cool seeing the boys riding the bikes and having fun to start the episode.

and Holy cow! Rhona Mitra (Dalton) was badass in this episode. She was totally channeling her inner Jack Bauer. at how she tortured the fat guy.

A little surprised that they brought back Rebecca from last season. You know she and Scott are going to get some sooner or later. But, I'd rather see him bang some random chicks than someone he has a connection with.

Nice cliffhanger with the Colombians using the RPG to take out their boat.

Going to be a great season.

Episode 2 is tonight

Is anyone else here watching this? Or am I the only one? Or does no one here subscribe to Cinemax.

It's one of the most badass action shows on TV.

It's interesting that this show is a co-production with Sky 1 in the UK, but they don't get the show until the Fall.

Scott got laid in episode 1. Wonder if he can keep the streak going. It kind of tailed off in season 2.

I like the production values that go in to the action scenes.

I love it...one of my favorite series. Going through the UK season now and have not watched tonight's episode yet.

Damn, I'm literally on the edge of my seat. Season 3 so far is kicking season 2's ass.

I literally yelled Oh Sh*t!! After:
[Show spoiler]
Rebecca was shot and subsequently killed off. Totally not expected. This is one of the few shows that has the balls to kill off significant characters.

That heist sequence was pretty intense. Section 20 is pretty damn ruthless. Guess those Colombian Police were collateral damage.

On the plus side, Scott is 2 for 2. Too bad he has to find a new lady friend now. We'll see what happens in episode 3.

The sequence where Scott and Stonebridge had to make a life or death decision on Kamali was really intense. First, I thought they f***ed up trusting him.

 at Scott f***ing with Fatty in the vault and then shooting him in the head after Kamali freed them.

Dalton was once again pretty badass. Glad to see Richmond getting some action too. I smiled at her and Martinez pretending to be lesbos to buzz off those guards.

Great to hear their going to show the first season, I've been wanting to see it for some time now. I hope this also leads to a blu-ray/dvd release for the US.
